Tried Norton unistall/reinstall twice more.īoth times the problem went away until I re-booted the system, and the problem returned. Problem went away until I downloaded latest Norton updates.
(Actually none of the local functions showing on the right click menu seem to work either). I tried executing from start menu, desktop icon, and right click of check mark'd icon but same result. When I close the window, the icon disappears and task manager removes it from active applications. The Task manager indicates the NIS application is running. NIS seems to be running OK (ie, green checkmark and google searches show safe site icons), but when I try to open the Norton control panel, all I get is a brief "flash" to the screen.
